Join us on Selena Day, April 16, for an evening of unforgettable music and memories as we pay tribute to the one and only Queen of Tejano, Selena Quintanilla for her 53rd birthday from 5-10pm!
DALLAS LOWRIDERS
To help set the tone for the evening, the Dallas Lowriders will have some of their finest classic vehicles on display in the District for attendees to take their pictures with.
MOVIES ON THE LAWN feat. SELENA
Kicking off the evening will be the screening of Selena, the 1997 film starring Jennifer Lopez, on the AT&T Discovery District’s 104′ tall media wall for their #MoviesOnTheLawn series. Bring your blankets or lawn chairs, as attendees will be able to watch from the lawn or from the patio of Cowboy Chow. The movie starts screening at 7pm.
COSTUME CONTEST
Don’t just watch the magic, be a part of it! Join our costume contest from 5-6pm, with roaming judges searching for the most captivating ensembles. The winner will be announced at 6:30pm, so make sure your outfit shines brighter than the Dallas skyline!
FOOD & DRINK SPECIALS
At 5:30pm join us for a cake cutting ceremony. Then, indulge in a fiesta of flavors with our Selena-themed food and drink specials at The Exchange and Cowboy Chow! Savor delectable dishes inspired by the iconic singer while sipping on refreshing beverages that pay homage to her legacy.
Self-parking is available at the 1212 Jackson Street garage. It’s complimentary with District merchant validation from the Exchange Food Hall.
