Our Story

At AT&T, we don’t just connect the world – we connect people and culture. The AT&T Discovery District® is where all this comes together – and everyone’s invited. After all, life’s better when we get together and share new experiences.

The Heart of Downtown

One of the best things about the Discovery District is the range of things to see and do – The Media Wall consists of more than 9,000 square feet of futuristic, colorful high-definition displays on a 104-foot tall outdoor wall interpreting communication in the natural world. The Globe is a 30-foot-tall, three-dimensional representation of AT&T’s iconic logo, decorated with 30,000 LEDs. Visitors can walk inside the installation to experience arrangements of light and sound that fuse art and technology. The AT&T Store is the downtown neighborhood store where guests can discover and purchase the latest AT&T products and services. Enjoy the free ultra-fast 5G and WiFi in The Plaza, the Grove, or on the Lawn. Hungry? You can find everything from high-end steak and seafood to tacos, falafels, waffles, and more, or meet friends for craft cocktails and specialty beers at one of the welcoming bars. Our ultimate goal is to bring delight, cultivate imagination, and spark discoveries that foster communication and reinforce the links between all of us.

Sustainable

The District is a truly special experience at the cutting edge of technology, including advancements in green building and operations. Designed according to sustainable principles, the District is completely powered by wind energy, integrates a smart irrigation and rainwater collection and harvesting system, and has widened sidewalks to encourage walking. On-site recycling and a composting program help minimize waste. All of these features have resulted in the District being awarded a SITES Silver Certification for sustainable and resilient land development projects.

Inclusive

The District was also designed to include and welcome everyone. The facility offers accessible parking, drop-off and pick-up areas, restrooms, and power-assisted doors for guests with specific needs. Of course, technology provides solutions and assistance in this area as well: another ADA enhancement includes hearing loop technology to help visitors with hearing challenges. While the offerings and amenities at the District are technology-driven, they’re always people-focused —they serve to illuminate and inspire us as to how technology can advance human thought, creativity, and connection.
